from reading my previous post many of you know i am a worldly person and have been a life long child advocate.

my heart goes out to the jw children and women.

these last 5 months education here and jwfacts, jwstruggles, has been very enlightening.

JWdaughter, both of my children and I will protect their children against pedophiles. I have always fought for everyones kids not just mine. My kids were made aware of this subject when they were 12 and 17 when I ended up taking into my home a mother and her 4 children till we could get the scum bag safely in jail. Does this sound familiar "well if she would return to the church and forgive me then everything would be ok" ? I cannot tell you how close I came to straggling him, knowing he had sexual abused 4 of his own children. He is rotting in jail, where all pedophiles belong. Just my honest opinion.

WT WIZARD 1000% agreement with everything you said. And the "the Elder" had hoped I would see different and become a JW. The only book he gave me to read was the one on Families before I got through it, it went flying across the room. When I started to ask questions is when I got the email "good bye, have a nice life" unsigned. LOL

From reading my previous post many of you know I am a Worldly Person and have been a life long child advocate. My heart goes out to the JW children and women. These last 5 months education here and JWfacts, JWstruggles, has been very enlightening. The Conti case and others, all the emotional, physical and sexual abuse. The hiding of pedophiles in the KH without reporting them.

Right now I have a huge issue with the location of a certain KH. Knowing what I know now about the JWS not reporting pedophiles. I also know what our state laws are regarding how close pedophiles must be away from say a public ball field where kids play. This particular ball field is HUGE it has many baseball diamonds along with lots of other things for kids.

I have to pick up my grandchildren several times a week, my rage boils over every time I see the location of this KH because I know it is WAY to close!!! My grandkids are not old enough yet to use this field BUT how many unsuspecting parents are dropping their kids off there not knowing the dangers across the street!!

Being lied to by parents

i mean pretty much all parents lie to their children at some point about something and usually it was to protect them or just wasn't something important and it normally doesn't affect the relationship between them and their child.

but how does a person reconcile and recover their appreciation for their parents after finding out almost everything they taught them was an evil lie?

i don't mean going back to the same relationship as i know that is gone, especially if the parents are still deceived.

What is Truth, you are getting great advise here. The important thing to remember is by forgiving your parents the person who will benefit the most is you. Once you forgive them, then you are free to move forward with your life.

Forgiveness is one of the most powerful things you will ever learn in life, it allows you to put things in the past a lot easier.

Finkelstein, on another thread I mentioned that I am a Certified Adult Volunteer for a youth organization all of our men and women must attend a 6 hour training session to be able to IDENTIFY notice that word it does not say investigate emotional, physical or sexual abuse. If one of the girls approach one of the men and reports physical or sexual abuse they are instructed to immediately find a female CAV turn the young lady over to her and disappear. Once the young lady is calmed down we immediately call 911, no questions asked all incidents are reported to authorities for them to investigate. Our parents know this is our policy, they sign a letter of acknowledgement when their daughters join.

recently i heard through video link to our kh a talk by bro loesch where he attacked university study (again) but this time he prefaced his remarks by saying, and i quote, "the faithful slave does not forbid you to go to university.

" so this was a bad start as his following remarks made it clear that this was just a way of seeming reasonable while basically saying that we shouldn't do it.

he went on to use an illustration i think he has used before about a man with ocd who decided to kill himself.

Thank you Finkelstein I try to be to my kids and all the girls in the organization. I fight for all kids.

Finkelstein, I will add with my training as a CAV (Certified Adult Volunteer) and being what the Elder referred to as rather outspoken had I been in a KH in February when that Noah cartoon was played I would not have needed a mic. That was outright emotional abuse!!! I had a child who had Epstein Barre virus when he was in 10th grade. I would so have lost it!!!!!

I really do not think the elders and I would have every gotten along because I would be defending every kids behavior. Kids will be kids. They are not going to sit still and some of those topics NOT NOT NOT FOR CHILDREN'S EARS!!!

MEN DO NOT QUESTION WOMEN ABOUT SEXUAL ABUSE! That is for any elders who are lurking here!!!

Finkelstein, First we put kids on a pedalstal. In the youth organization they are very much encouraged to learn everything from how to run an organization, fund raisers, community service events. For an example by the time my daughter was 15 she was head of the local chapter for 2 years. She could run meetings with a packed room up to 100 in attendance. She traveled throughout the state as a representative and was very well known giving speeches for many causes. All of these efforts has afforded her many scholarship and grants toward a degree in deaf and blind education.

Each one of these girls learn to respect God, their country, the adults who are there to guide them, and a deep compassion for helping those less fortunate then themselves.

I will add we also have a lot of fun doing all of these events. State events when we take over entire hotels are a blast. You see 400 or 500 young ladies dressed up in formals all proud of their accomplishments. You are as proud as you can be an adult of such a wonderful organization -- all the money I spend in gas, helping them out, keeping my Certified Adult Volunteer Certicate up to date is worth it.
